I like this quote! Hopefully it inspires you too.
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending". Maria Robinson
I think at different periods in our lives, we've all needed to hear this one. Often we start out with the best of intentions but soon it becomes obvious that we've made a bad decision. I'm not sure why we don't cut our losses except I realize most of us were raised with that ol' mentality of "you made your bed, now lie in it". Maybe that's why we ride out the storm. And oddly, it's almost as if all other options disappear once we've settled on one. No matter how badly we want to, we don't think we can go back and ask to see what's behind door number two.
The truth is everyday is a new day and every single day you can start over. You can actually change every aspect of your life...from the littlest things to the most important. You can change your route to work. You can stop somewhere else to get coffee or give it up all together. You can leave your husband or cheat on your husband. You can have two husbands and live happily ever after...assuming you don't get caught. You can look at the world thru a glass that's half empty or half full. You can choose to ignore the obvious or nick pick every little detail of your life. You can join a church or a cult or even start a commune. You can mow your grass in the nude if you dare...at least until the neighbor's call the cops. And most importantly, you don't always have to wallow in that bed you made. Maybe you can't avoid it at first but that doesn't mean you're stuck there forever. You can change your life. You can decide to change one thing everyday of your life. It doesn't have to be big things. You can fix your hair differently or brush your teeth up and down instead of across. You can start sleeping on the other side of the bed or listen to a new radio station. You can give up one snack of junk food and change it to a piece of fruit. Or decide to indulge in chocolate cake for breakfast!
You can change one thing every day for the rest of your life. That's 365 changes in one year, big and small. Imagine how differently your life could be twelve months from today.
Maybe we should start a 365 Club with everyone who joins committing to change one thing per day and keeping a log of each change. We could share the changes with all the club members to inspire us each to do better...be better. Who's with me?
And P.S. THANK YOU to the "Anonymous" person who finally left a comment on my blog...seriously people, I'm trying to build a following to prove I'm marketable to publishers!!! SHEEZ...comments, I need comments!!!!!

testing, testing...does this work?
I would be very interested in joining a group just for motivational purposes-I really need some group support (or criticism if that's what it takes) to get more serious about controlling my diabetes. Anyone interested in support that you can get at home? I consider myself a follower-not so much a leader. Please help me start a group where all needs are welcome.
Donna
